How it works
Three steps, a few seconds each
- 01
Snap
Photograph your meal. Results arrive in a few seconds: the dish, calories, protein, carbs and fat, with a confidence rating.
- 02
Adjust
Fix a portion, swap an item or add the oil you cooked with. Every item is editable, and the app asks about easy-to-miss extras.
- 03
Adapt
Your calorie and macro targets update from your real weight trend, and a calm daily summary shows where you landed.
Who it is for
Built around your situation
You choose the situation that fits when you start. Targets, the home screen and the coach adjust quietly to match, with no labels attached.
Weight loss without obsession
A single calorie ring, permission to have an imperfect day, and no streak guilt.
GLP-1 users
Protein comes first, appetite is respected, and the coach never shames low intake.
Macro optimizers
A three-macro view, seven-day averages and full data export.
Cycle-aware tracking
Coaching that accounts for where you are in your cycle.
Athletes
Five-ring tracking with exact gram targets for hard training weeks.
Accuracy
Photo estimates are estimates
Photo estimates are estimates; you can edit every item. Each scan shows how confident the result is, and low-confidence results ask you to check them.
A camera cannot see everything on a plate. Expect results to be useful for trends over days and weeks rather than exact to the calorie. SnapMacro is not a medical device.
Try the same formulas the app uses for its starting plan: the TDEE calculator, the protein calculator and the GLP-1 protein calculator.
Questions
FAQ
How accurate are photo estimates?
They are estimates. A photo cannot show oil, sauces or exactly how much is on the plate, so every result shows a confidence rating and you can edit every item, portion and the dish itself. SnapMacro is built for steady progress over a week, not perfection at every meal.
Is SnapMacro free?
You can start free with a small number of AI scans per day. SnapMacro Pro removes the daily limit and adds the coach chat and evening summaries. Prices and any free trial are shown in the app by the App Store, in your local currency.
What happens to my meal photos?
Photos are saved on your device. To estimate a meal, the photo is sent to our server, which passes it to an AI provider and returns the result. We do not store the photo on our server. The privacy policy has the details.
Does it work with GLP-1 medication?
Yes. One of the starting situations is built around reduced appetite, with protein-first tracking and a gentler coach. SnapMacro is not medical advice; talk to your prescriber about your nutrition needs.
Does it connect to Apple Health?
Optionally. If you allow it, SnapMacro reads weight, active energy and steps to refine your calorie estimate, and can write your logged nutrition to Apple Health. You choose each permission and can turn either off.
How do I cancel?
Subscriptions are managed by Apple. Open Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions, and choose SnapMacro. Cancel at least 24 hours before the renewal date to avoid the next charge.
